Buffalo Jack & The Parlor Snakes Form
Patrick Coleman (AKA Buffalo Jack, AKA PC, vocalist of PC and The Angels of Death) and long time friend and band mate Trygve Has-Ellison teamed up with music's notable and notorious stars Jim Duckworth (lead guitar for Gun Club, Panther Burns, and Falco) and Bobby Black, the Stardust Cowboy (pedal steel player for Commander Cody and Asleep At The Wheel), along with Rob Beltz on bass and Josh Glidden on drums to record a project album. This project, however has taken on a momentum all its own, gaining an audience in North America and South America.
"Our idea," says Patrick Coleman, "was to make an analog alt. country/swampabilly album with 50s production where the instruments are very hot. This is quite a departure for me, who is used to a stoner country rock sensibility."
The recording is presently taking place at different locations in the U.S., but will come together and be finished at the famous Easley McCain Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, produced exclusively by Doug Easley and Trygve Has-Ellison.
Buffalo Jack’s line-up is Patrick Coleman (vocals), Jim Duckworth (lead guitar), Josh Glidden (drums), Trygve Has-Ellison (slide guitar), Bobby Black (pedal steel), and Rob Beltz (bass).
The group Buffalo Jack and The Parlor Snakes began as a project spearheaded by Has-Ellison after talking to Patrick Coleman about recording some of his songs. After meeting with others about the idea, the other members joined in.
The album will be out the very end of 2012 and will be followed by a tour the following summer, beginning in San Paulo, Brazil, where there is a large fan base present there.
